School Community Council

If you would like to be better informed and more involved in your child's education at CDCS, please consider joining the CDCS School Community Council (SCC). According to the Ministry of Education, school councils ";...provide a forum through which parents and other members of school communities can contribute to improving student achievement and performance" (Ministry of Education, 2002, School Councils a guide for members, p. 1.1). The school council acts in an advisory capacity, making recommendations and providing feedback on what is happening in the school.

CDCS School Council meets several times throughout the school year. You are welcome to attend as often as your schedule permits. Research has shown that parental involvement is one of the most significant factors in children's success at school (MOE, 2002, School Councils a guide for members, p. 2.1) Please consider joining us.
