I am very pleased to announce Ms. Lisa Emke will be taking over as Principal of CDCS in August. Previously a Learning Services Administrator at the system level, Ms. Emke brings a wealth of special education knowledge to CDCS. Mr. Brad Doherty will continue as vice-principal. Ms. Emke is eager to meet students and staff and I know she will do great things at CDCS.
It is with very mixed emotions that I am leaving to take on a new role as a Learning Services Administrator for Bluewater District School Board. While I am very excited for the challenges and learning that will come with this new role, I am going to miss the students, staff and school community of CDCS a great deal. This school has been a huge part of my life for the past six years. It has been a privilege to work with the Chesley students and families, and with a terrific team of staff members. The support of the extended CDCS community, has continually amazed me. We have weathered some incredibly challenging times, but we have created some wonderful memories too. CDCS will always to hold a very, very special place in my heart – as they say ‘Once a Cougar, Always a Cougar’.
I will miss you and wish you all the very best. If our paths cross in the future, please be sure to say hello.
Have a great summer, play safe and be kind.
